causes and effect of the global warming

Scientists decided that the number of human activities contribute to the rise in temperature adding excessive amounts of greenhouse gases to the atmosphere. These days global warming is a serious problem world wide.

There are several causes of the global warming. The problem is not the rising of the temperatures, but the reason for this rise. The impact of pollution from the consumption of various materials is the main cause of rising temperatures. One of the main greenhouse gases is carbon dioxide (CO2). As trees grow they take in CO2 from the air. Methane is released during coal-mining activities, oil exploration and when vegetation is burnt during land clearance. The main source of methane though is agricultural activity. It is released from wetlands such as rice paddies and from animals. Cutting the forest is one of the causes of the global warming

There are a lot of effects which can affect the earth. One of these effects has negative impacts on plant growth and production by promoting the spread of diseases. The effects of global warming on agriculture will vary from region to region and from place to place. There are a lot of changes such as the temperature. The glaciers are melting at the North Pole and South Pole.
